Solomon BobosibunuSolomon is a professional in Conflict Management, Good Governance and Democracy particularly in Elections and electoral issues. He has an interest in youth issues and has been leading the engagement of young people with other mainstream civic network. Currently (2015 todate) engaged at the Election Resource Centre a local advocacy think tank on democracy and elections as a TRAINING and OUTREACH Technical lead. Previously served the Zimbabwe Election Support Network (ZESN), a network of thirty local non-governmental organisations that specialise in elections. ZESN promotes democratic elections in Zimbabwe since 2000. His work related experience back dates from 2008 Harmonised Election and in 2013 was in the team that led the parallel vote tabulation (PVT. Solomon’s professional goal is to contribute towards the achievement of democracy in society especially looking at elections. Hence, he has dedicated his entire professional life in the promotion of free and fair elections in Zimbabwe. Though the operating environment in Zimbabwe is restrictive and sometimes dangerous, he has persevered and is determined to attain his vision. He has also been part of the CPIA observer missions in Malawi for the 2009 elections. The key areas of ZESN’s work address: election monitoring and observation, public outreach, research and advocacy media and information dissemination on electoral updates. Current Studies: MSc International Affairs with Midlands State University and is a holder of BA Peace Conflict and History studies from Solusi Adventist University- Zimbabwe 2006-2009. On the human rights front Solomon holds among others Human Rights Defenders Certificate Free Town, Sierra Leon International Service for Human Rights- 2011. On the 12th of September 2013, Solomon was certified by the Nairobi, Kenya PVT Academy of National Democratic Institute as competent to do Parallel Vote Tabulation across Africa.
