VANJA SKORIC

Vanja Škorić works as a Senior Legal Advisor in GONG since 2001. GONG is NGO whose mission is inciting citizen’s participation in political processes, through representative democracy, participative democracy and civil society organizations, specialised in election monitoring and innovative electoral frameworks. GONG is also active as one of the leading NGOs in development of progressive legal framework for NGOs, good governance and access to information. Vanja holds a LLM degree in Public International Law from University of Amsterdam, with thesis research on Access to Information. Vanja’s work is focused on coordinating advocacy campaigns regarding election legislation and election monitoring, good governance, participation of NGOs and citizens in decision-making and access to information. She participates in working groups of Government’s Office for NGOs and different ministries since 2002 on drafting legal framework regarding civil society, electoral framework and access to information. In addition, Vanja sometimes joins OSCE/ODIHR election monitoring and assessment missions as an election expert and legal analyst. From 2009 - 2011, she worked as Key Legal Expert on the EU funded project Capacity Building of Civil Society to Take Part in Policy Dialogue in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
