Stephane Mondon

Stephane Mondon is a consultant in elections and programmatic analysis. He has extensive experience in election monitoring, electoral technical assistance, rule of law and programs to promote and support democracy. He was a technical adviser to the Electoral Commission of Democratic Republic of Congo for the setup of the first voter registration exercise, the organization of presidential and legislative elections. Former Director of Operations at the headquarters of Avocats Sans Frontières,he has participated in numerous electoral missions with the European Union, the OSCE / ODIHR, the United Nations, UNDP and the Carter Centre in DRC, Iraq, Libya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Benin, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar, Latvia, and Burkina Faso. Lecturer at the International Criminal Court on the political situation in Libya, he teaches at the European Inter-University Centre for Human Rights and Democracy in Venice. He is currently heading the United Nations operational assistance to the Electoral Commission in the DRC for the registration of voters. Before being involved in elections, Stéphane Mondon worked as a lawyer in Japan and France. He holds a Master in International Business Law from the University of Aix-Marseille in France and a degree in Economics from the Otaru University of Commerce in Japan.
