This article reports on the last week of campaigning in Burkina Faso. On Sunday, the 3.2 million eligible voters will cast their ballots to elect a new president, and President Blaise Compaoré is one of the front-runners. Compaoré seized power in a coup d'état in 1987, and won the 2005 elections with an overwhelming majority of the votes (80%).
