Electoral Integrity Quiz

This section considers the importance of integrity in the electoral process, the challenges associated with maintaining it and the mechanisms for protecting it. For more general information on this topic, go to Overview.

This section deals with issues of transparency, accountability and accuracy in electoral administration, as well as the ethical behaviour of key players able to contribute to maintaining integrity. Various mechanisms that could protect integrity are specified in the legal framework, supported by the institutional framework, and strengthened by national and international observation.

Finally, problems specific to integrity and some solutions for them are considered at each stage of administering the electoral process, including electoral management, voting procedure selection, boundary delimitation, voter education and registration, party/candidate and other registration, campaigns, media, financing, voting, vote counting, and results.
