Livianna Stephanie TossuttiI am an Associate Professor of Political Science at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. I teach courses in Canadian Politics, Political Parties and Electoral Behaviour, Civil Society, Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods. I am also co-leader of the Optimizing Social, Cultural and Political Integration Research Domain ( with Dr. Vicki Esses of the University of Western Ontario) of the "Welcoming Communities Initiative". WCI is a consortium of university researchers and community representatives who are assessing the "warmth of welcome" for immigrants and refugees in small and mid-sized Ontario cities, with the aim of developing and testing strategies for future policy and program directions. The WCI project is supported by grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and Citizenship and Immigration Canada (Ontario). |
