Jeremias Blaser

Jeremias Blaser is on Detail assignment until end of May with the governance team in BCPR Geneva. He works in the Republic of Congo as Deputy Resident Representative Programme and Operations since March 2009. He joined UNDP under the LEAD programme and headed the governance section in UNDP Zambia after working as programme specialist at UNV Headquarters in Bonn/Germany. Before joining UNDP Jeremias worked as governance advisor to the Swiss Ministry of Foreign Affairs focusing on Switzerland’s involvement in the Sudan peace process. He also worked at the International Research and Consulting Centre where he carried out various backstopping mandates on governance for the Swiss Development Agency. Jeremias has a Ph.D. in Political Science and has published various articles on elections, governance assessments, donor harmonization, the public-private consultation procedure in Switzerland etc.
