Debashis SenI am the Chief Electoral Officer of West Bengal, India. I am in charge of maintaining electoral data base of 48 million voters, and issuing them photo IDs. I am in charge of conducting elections in 294 assembly constituencies and 42 parliamentary constituencies, using Electronic Voting Machines. I am member of a National Committee on electoral reforms. I have more than 12 years' electoral experience in various capacities. My latest management of General Elections 2006 has earned me very good feedback in terms of fairness and neutrality from the citizens as well as the media.
