Michael Ohene-Effah

I have lived and worked in Ghana all my working life, gaining an intimate understanding of local politics, governance systems and structures in the process. Having worked for almost five years as the Political Officer at the British High Commssion, Accra, I joined DFID-Ghana in October 2011 to lead its local governance porfolio. In this capacity, I advise on deepening democracy programme and initiatives, providing the much-needed context-specific input into cross-office programmes.
