Hadija MiiroWith over 15 years of electoral support, Hadija has expertise in assistance to election management bodies, international and civil society organizations in all aspects of electoral systems and processes including; policy guidance and advise, planning and procedures, field operations, civic/voter registration and the use of biometric technologies, civic/voter education, recruitment and training of long and short term electoral/referendum staff, donor coordination and resource mobilization, integration of electoral assistance and the electoral cycle approach, grant administration, programme/project design, monitoring, evaluation and reviewing, support to the media, domestic observation groups, the police, prisons and the judiciary and liaising with political parties. Hadija is a Model of Excellency for Forum for African Women Educationalists- Uganda Chapter, and served as a member of the African Panel of Experts on Voter Registration. She has published two articles on the Electoral Knowledge Network. She is also a Founder and Serving Member on NGOs and private sectors organizations supporting gender equality, women economic empowerment and increased participation of women in the political processes. Hadija Miiro has an advanced degree in Demography obtained from Makerere University, post graduate training in computer science and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Social Administration. Before she joined the electoral arena, she was a lecturer at Makerere University in the Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics.
