The thirteen sections setting out the elements of an electoral process from a legal point of view comprise matters that can be classified into homogeneous blocks:

The subjects that take part in the process. Documents that focus on them, are Voters' Qualifications, Deprivation of the Right to Vote and Voter Registration (voters); Candidates' Qualifications and Candidates Registration (candidates); Political Organisations (political parties); and Electoral Organisation (electoral administration, to which document Administrative Considerations also refers).
The material operations of the process. Set out in sections Electoral Campaign (electoral campaign), Voting (voting), Publication of Results (publication), Electoral Boundaries (constituencies) and to a certain extent, Electoral Organisation (organisation).
Lastly, legal means of control and the solving of legal conflicts and disputes, matters covered in documents Sanctions for Specific Electoral Offences and Conflict and Dispute Resolution.
